About the 2016 Lexus IS

The 2016 Lexus IS is a Japanese luxury sedan with an athletic twist that was designed to compete against the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, Infiniti Q50, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and other compact luxury sedans.

Renowned for its striking design and inspiring agility, the 2016 Lexus IS welcomes an all-new 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of generating 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque mated to a precise 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine joins two different variations of a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 255 or 306 horsepower respectively.

While, on the one hand, one powertrain was introduced this year, two models were terminated, the high-performance IS F, and the convertible IS C.
