The Lexus NX visits Park Avenue Lexus Sainte-Julie

September 9, 2014 (Last modified on December 22, 2017)

Wow is the only word that comes to mind! The long-awaited prodigal son has finally reached our shores. Last night, on September 9, 2014, the Lexus NX was finally unveiled at your Park Avenue Lexus Sainte-Julie dealer.

Shipped directly from Japan, the electric blue NX200t F Sport edition has surprised a lot of people, beginning with myself.

Some weeks ago, I wrote a preview regarding this model that had already drawn a lot of attention thanks to its extravagant and promising design. Boasting the now iconic spindle grille, the brand new crossover’s design is dynamic, elegant and kind of ferocious. The front bumper of the F Sport edition is muscular, the elegant silhouette is highlighted by sculpted doors and an overall flowing design. From the back, the LED lights draw a lot of attention and enhance the sportiveness of the model.

A surprisingly roomy interior

Unfortunately, the only model available was parked in the showroom, therefore, we didn’t get a chance to hear the distinctive roar of the all-new 4-cylinder turbo engine.

Although it looks gorgeous from the inside, it is the interior space of the Lexus NX that really surprised me. The sport seats are more than comfortable and offer excellent support. The centre console looks familiar and takes its inspiration from the Lexus IS. Sitting either in front or in the back, the NX has plenty of headroom and legroom to offer. Roomier than expected, the cargo area can easily carry two golf bags and hides an additional area under the floor. Although it adds a lot of well appreciated extra space in the Lexus NX200t, this area will hold the powerful battery of the hybrid NX300h. Surprisingly roomy and extremely dynamic, the cabin of the Lexus NX will easily sists its passengers in first-class comfort.

All that remains for us now is to wait for the official release of this long-awaited model and finally test its true road capabilities.

A special thanks to Dominic Arpin for his involvement and dedication during this colourful evening!
