Groupe Park Avenue is pleased to announce the acquisition of Bang Carrosserie, located in Brossard. With this change, nearly twenty jobs are preserved and added to Groupe Park Avenue. This transaction — for which the financial details are not disclosed — allows Groupe Park Avenue to integrate a body shop into its offer in an effort to offer more diversity to its client base. As the sole owner of the company, the automotive group pursues its ascent through a series of logical moves that place growth through acquisitions at the centre.
For Groupe Park Avenue, operating a body shop is not something completely new: "We have been providing our customers with maintenance and repair services for their vehicles for over 60 years. We are pleased to welcome Bang Carrosserie into our organization to further specialize our offering. This is a growing sector and we see great potential for development. With the growing popularity of electric vehicles, we need to expand our maintenance and repair strategy and I am very excited to welcome the Bang Carrosserie team to our organization," said Norman Hébert, President and CEO of Groupe Park Avenue.
Diversification of the Service Offering
For Norman John Hébert, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Groupe Park Avenue, the arrival of Bang Carrosserie into the company is excellent news and a sign of growth. "The addition of Bang to our organization was based on a rigorous analysis of our finance and fixed operations department. More importantly, we listened to the needs of our customers and we are proud to be able to add more specialized body shop services, all in accordance with the high standards that set us apart. Our goal remains the same: to be recognized as a one-stop shop for automotive services."
A Smooth Transition
As part of this acquisition, no operational changes are expected. That being said, in order to support Bang Carrosserie, two important additions will join the current administration team, says Norman John: "We are fortunate to have developed, over the past few years, good expertise in acquisitions. Pascal Villeneuve will act as General Manager, and his experience with our acquisition of the Volvo dealership is extremely pertinent. He will also work closely with Lucie Larivière who has excellent expertise in body shop management and who will join our team as Director of Operations for Bang Carrosserie.
"Obviously, the decision to sell a business that you have invested so much time and effort in is not an easy one. However, I am very pleased with the way things have turned out. For me, keeping our entire team is very important and I will also stay on over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition. We will continue to operate with our suppliers, partners, and customers as we always did but now with the support and expertise of one of the largest automotive dealer groups in Québec," said Patrick Girard, founder of Bang Carrosserie.
