Third Generation Adding Strength To Groupe Park Avenue Leadership Team

Brossard, July 7, 2020 – Groupe Park Avenue is proud to announce the appointment of Norman John Hébert as vice president and chief operating officer of the organization effective June 8, 2020.

In a little over six years of working in various capacities in the family business, Norman John Hébert has managed to develop a thorough understanding of the enterprise and hone his management skills on the job. As COO he will oversee the operations of the 23 Groupe Park Avenue automotive dealerships in collaboration with each general manager.

For Norman John Hébert, this appointment represents one more step toward achieving his long-term goal of becoming chief executive officer of his family’s business. At that point, he will be the third-generation Hébert to take over the reins at Groupe Park Avenue. The 61-year-old business has more than 1,000 employees with its 23 automotive dealerships, including Park Avenue Audi, Park Avenue BMW, Park Avenue Volkswagen, Park Avenue Toyota, and Silver Star Mercedes-Benz.

“I’m thrilled with the new mandate I’ve been given. Our leadership team of vice presidents and general managers in our dealerships is stronger than ever. I intend to support them in every way possible in managing whatever challenges come our way, in developing and making the most of the opportunities in the post-COVID environment, and in contributing to a dynamic vision that, along with an in-depth knowledge of automotive industry trends, will ensure that Groupe Park Avenue remains at the forefront of the business in the years to come,” Hébert said.

Norman John Hébert succeeds Bernard Le Blanc as chief operating officer. During his four years as COO, Le Blanc oversaw a major restructuring of the organization’s departments, creating significant synergies in the process for maintaining its leadership position in the market. He implemented concrete and innovative solutions designed to ensure the company’s competitive advantage in meeting the challenges of the automotive business of tomorrow.

Groupe Park Avenue president and CEO Norman E. Hébert will continue as Chief Executive Officer, with the support of Norman John Hébert as vice president and chief operating officer and Jean-François Lacroix as vice president and chief financial officer.
